The Nantahala Village Resort and Spa is privileged to be in relationship with two horse stables in the area, The Nantahala Village Stables located on site, and Lonesome Dove Stables in Robbinsville. Catering to all groups and sizes from singles, families, church groups, and special needs children, riders will experience a scenic adventure through sundry parts of the Nantahala National Forest.

Eight miles of clear water, constant waves and swift currents make the Nantahala River a delight for all ages and groups interested in an exhilarating introduction to whitewater rafting. The trip takes over 3 hours and contains numerous class I and II rapids, with a class III at the end. Our rafting trips are fully guided. Since the Nantahala River is a dam-controlled river, one can expect good water flows at all times of the year.

The spa has been moved to the newly renovated historical Tabor House. This 1800s original Village farm house was lovingly taken apart board by board put back together exactly as it appeared in the 1800s, only better. It exemplifies all of the luxuries of a classic spa while retaining an intimate cottage feel.
